Terms & Conditions of Hire
By hiring our bins, you agree to and acknowledge the following terms and conditions:
General Conditions

Bins must be secured using the locking wheels provided to prevent movement while on site.

Prohibited items: You must not dispose of asbestos, oil, paint, batteries, tyres, gas bottles, or any hazardous materials in the bins.

Bins must not be overloaded — the lid must fully close on collection day.

No rocks, concrete, dirt, or other heavy materials are permitted. These items exceed weight limits and may cause damage.

Paper and cardboard bins must only contain those materials. No general waste is permitted in these bins.

Bins must remain at the hire location and cannot be moved to another site without written permission from Effective Hire Solutions.

Deliberate damage or loss of the bin may incur a replacement fee of up to $450.

Effective Hire Solutions is not liable for any damage caused by the bin while on hire, including surface damage to driveways or other property.

Delivery Access: Sufficient access is required for delivery and collection. If access is blocked or denied, requiring a return trip, a $100.00 call-out fee will apply and be charged to the payment method used for the original order.
Weight Limits
To prevent damage, bins must not be overloaded. Maximum weight limits apply as follows:

240L bin: 60kg
-
660L & 1100L wheelie bins: 200kg
If bins exceed these limits, an additional charge of $7 per 10kg over the limit will apply. The bin lid must be fully closed on collection day.
Prohibited Waste Items
Heavy General Waste (examples include but are not limited to):

Bricks, concrete, rocks, dirt

Large green waste (e.g., tree trunks, stumps)
Hazardous Materials (strictly prohibited):

Asbestos
-
Tyres
-
Liquids
-
Oils, paints, fuel, chemicals

Batteries and gas bottles

Important Notice – Asbestos

Asbestos is strictly prohibited.

If asbestos is found in any bin, the hirer will be fully liable for all costs associated with its safe removal and disposal. Asbestos must not be placed in these bins. If you dispose asbestos in our bins it may lead to a referral to law enforcement. As the hirer you will be liable for any asbestos found in our bins and the likely substantial costs to dispose of it.
Acceptance
By placing an order and using our bins, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Effective Hire Solutions reserves the right to update these terms as required.
